Students in grades 7-12 from Mantua Township had attended Pitman High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship until Clearview Regional High School opened for the 1960-61 school year. Seats on the high school district's nine-member board are allocated based on population, with five seats assigned to Mantua Township. Schools in the district (with 2020–21 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics ) areĬlearview Regional Middle School with 788 students (grades 7 and 8) andĬlearview Regional High School with 1,485 students (grades 9-12). Public school students in seventh through twelfth grades attend the schools of the Clearview Regional High School District, which serves students from Harrison Township and Mantua Township. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group 'FG', the fourth-highest of eight groupings. Other referendum items will also go out to bid in the first half of 2023, including converting the high-school’s grass field to artificial turf, the addition of a STEM lab to the middle school and an upgrade for the high-school auditorium. They have been ordered and will likely arrive toward the end of the year, according to Pennell, but not put into place until early 2024. Another portion of the referendum already put out to bid is for new emergency generators for both the middle and high schools. The projects are waiting for summer so as not to distract students.

“A lot of our systems are beyond their useful life. “They will be the first (projects) to get started,” said district Business Administrator Esther Pennell. Two projects in the referendum – introduced in 2020 and approved by Mantua and Mullica Hill voters in the November elections – will be started during the summer, with repairs to the middle-school’s roofs and implementation of a voice-activated fire alarm system in both the middle and high school.
